My name is Marlene.
My story began over 20 years ago with the production of handmade jewellery from various materials.
With the birth of my daughter in 2017, a quiet desire to preserve something unique arose for the first time. With the birth of my son in 2020, this desire became a matter close to my heart: to capture the memory of a very special time of breastfeeding.
I founded MaKiDy breast milk jewellery in January 2021. Since then, I have dedicated myself exclusively to making these special mementos, which are carefully handcrafted in my studio
I have been living and working in Berlin for 19 years, originally from Seville in the south of Spain. This combination of technical precision and emotional depth still characterises my work today.
As a mother of two children and with my own long breastfeeding experience, I know how personal and meaningful this jewellery is. I create each piece with great care, patience and respect - individually and with great attention to detail.
The name MaKiDy is made up of the initials of my children and myself and symbolises the special bond between mother and child.
